Pepper's Google + Review Prize Raffle

Tracy * Pepper * Matt
Congratulations to our April winner Matt Schilz !!!!!

Thank you Matt for this wonderful Google+ review!

Quality: "Excellent"
"My car was running rough, and it was struggling to turn over (battery had just been repaired). I heard about Mick's through a friend, and took my 07 IS250 to have it checked out. I was helped out right away and Tracy educated me on some of the issues this particular model has had. My factory warranty ended last summer, and I was worried I was in for a heavy amount of work. I had received a few TSBs from Lexus about other issues, but don't recall getting one about this specific issue. Anyway, rather than charging me to fix the issue at a nice profit for himself, he told me that the dealership would see this problem as a defect once they tested it for themselves. Sure enough, I got the car over to Lexus and everything was as Tracy said. Lexus is going to rebuild my engine at no cost. It's extremely tough to find an honest auto shop that is willing to educate its customers. I've had all my work done at the dealer since day one, but I know that I'll be back to Mick's for future service. One more thing. The staff is all extremely friendly and actually take an interest in their customers. Thanks Mick's!"

May Cabin Air Filter Special*

May Cabin Air Filter Special*
 by Bloo Darson

Living in Santa Cruz this time of the year is always so exciting. From our Bay area wild flowers to the amazing foliage that grows this time of the year in our redwood forest, it's a plethora of visual beauty and smells.  What better time than now to have your cars cabin air filter replaced.  Although hidden, a cabin air filter performs a very important function. Not to be confused with an engine air filter, this piece of equipment removes contaminants such as dust, pollen, mold spores and other small particles from the air that circulates through your cars ventilation system.

To keep air quality at its best, filters should be replaced according to manufacturers' recommendations, generally once a year or every 15,000 miles. Regularly changing cabin air filters can maximize the life of your car's HVAC system by reducing debris and corrosion on the evaporator core.

Cabin air filters stop most airborne particles, and some are even capable of eliminating odors. That's welcome news for people with air quality concerns, especially those with allergies. Do you remember the last time your cabin air filter was replaced? Ask us about our May Cabin Air Filter Special*, you'll breathe a whole lot better.
